It’s time for new adventures in World of Tanks Blitz. Famed for a variety of special modes and legendary events loved by commanders around the world, the game now invites hobbyist tankers to the latest exciting mode – and it comes with a twist: the Bosskampf-Modus. This mode will be available twice, from February 3rd to 6th and from February 10th to 13th. Players can expect exciting 7v7 battles in which team members are assigned random roles with special abilities and one player on each team becomes the boss.
Compared to the base stats of the respective tank, the boss gets 30% to the damage dealt and speed, 50% faster reload time and quadruple health points. In addition, the bosses can shove the enemies with their blast wave, and they can deal damage to multiple vehicles in a row with the passive Mega Shot ability. So that the enemies have a chance at all, the bosses only respawn twice in the battle.
The rest of the team has infinite respawns and randomly cycles through the various RPG-like roles: Regenerator, Catalyst, Bomber, and Graviton with each respawn. These roles have unique active and passive abilities and each have up to five upgradeable tiers to unlock. Unlike their teammates, bosses remain in their roles until the end of the game.
Killing a boss grants the team five points, each other tank is worth one tank each. The first team to get 30 points wins the game.
The boss fight mode can be played in any Tier V-X tank. If a player doesn’t already own a tank of these tiers, there is a mission where completion between January 27th and February 13th will award the T67 (an American Tier 5 tank destroyer) as a reward that players can keep permanently.
