THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV DLC Characters: Team GAROU and Team SOUTH TOWN kick off

SNK Corporation, the creators of THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV (KOF XV), announce the upcoming DLC ​​characters for the fighting game phenomenon. There will be a total of 12 additional characters later this year after the title launches on February 17th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Windows 10, Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The first wave of fighters is Team 1 (Team GAROU) and will be released in March, while the second wave, Team 2 (Team SOUTH TOWN) will be released in May. Team 3 follows in the summer and finally Team 4 in the fall. Each team consists of three fighters, so the total number of fighters increases in THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV over the course of the year from the initial 39 to a whopping 51 powerful characters.

Team 1 (Team GAROU) starts in March 2022 and consists of ROCK HOWARD, B. JENET and GATO from the smash hit GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES.

ROCK HOWARD

Despite being the son of the feared Geese Howard, this young fighter with a complicated past was raised by Terry Bogard. Rock is a true prodigy when it comes to fighting, having learned to use the fighting styles passed down from his father and stepfather. B. JENET convinces him to join Team GAROU in this KOF.

CAT

This ice-cold and calculated master fighter always stands out from the crowd. After his mother died at the hands of his father, he set out to seek revenge. Although he wants to go his own way, B. JENET was able to convince him to join the team since she has information on his father’s whereabouts.

JEENET

JENET is the leader of a band of pirates known as the “Lillien Knights” and has traveled to every corner of the world. Born into the Behrn family, a powerful international cartel, she grew tired of her luxurious but boring life and ran away to form the Lillien Knights. After the turbulent events of the last KOF, B. JENET has a suspicion that the worst is not over and she wants to join this KOF to see what’s in store for her.

Team 2 (Team SOUTH TOWN) will launch in May 2022 and will feature characters GEESE HOWARD, BILLY KANE and RYUJI YAMAZAKI from the world-renowned FATAL FURY series.

Team 3 for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV will appear during the summer Team 4 will be released in autumn 2022. The characters of these teams will be revealed in the near future.
