The eSports WRC Championship 2022 starts on February 4th

NACON and KT Racing Studio give in cooperation with WRC Promoter the start of the eSports WRC Championship 2022 known. The tournament this year will be in WRC 10 held, the official video game of the FIA World Rally Championship, and will be the sixth in a row. WRC 10 is already available in stores for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

eSports WRC calendar unveiled
This year’s race calendar begins in Monte Carlo (February 4-7) and ends in Greece (August 12-15). It includes thirteen routes in total. In 2022, participants will also compete on routes in five new countries: Spain, Belgium, Croatia, Estonia and Greece.

Overall, the 2021 format will be retained and the top eight regular-season drivers will automatically qualify for a place in the World Finals. The date and venue for these will be announced at a later date. The best ten results of all participants are included in the evaluation for qualification.

Prestigious teams compete for entry
the WRC Championship is open to all who WRC 10 play, which gives the most famous racing teams a chance to participate again. Last year more than 15,000 racers competed over thirteen rounds for a spot in the live finals, which took place in Athens during the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece took place. This year the teams are already Race Clutch, Virtual Best Racing and Team Williams qualified – a foretaste of an exciting season.

The three times WRC-Winner and winner of the 2021 season, Lohan ‘Nexl’ Blanc will join his teammates at the Race Clutchteams defend their title.

“Both the 2020 and 2021 finals ended in a head-to-head with Sami-Joe Abi Nakhle and I’m looking forward to it in WRC 10 – which we were already able to test during the last final in Greece – to compete against the best sim racing drivers.
