miHoYo has recently made four new free skins/outfits available on Genshin Impact. There were 4 characters that won a second outfit to alternate in the game. Check below how to get and use them. Happily, to get the new skins/outfits (clothes) it is not necessary to pay to get them. However, in order to have access to them, the player must have at least Adventure Rank 2, as it is the level required to use in-game mail (messaging system).
Clothing is optional for most players, so it will be necessary to selectively choose which characters will use the new skins/outfits. To use the clothes, just select the hanger icon at the bottom right of the character screen. If the character is at max level, you should see “Dressing Room” on the right side, but if not, you will see “Ascend”.
Genshin Impact: How to get the new clothes (skins/outfits)
The new alternate skins/outfits were made available to all Genshin Impact players on January 27, 2022. They will be permanent additions for new players for any date after that. If you’ve entered the game before, simply claim them as rewards in the mail by clicking “Claim All”.

Genshin Impact: How to use the new alternatives
To dress the characters in the new alternative outfits, follow the steps below.
- Open the character’s menu (via the shortcut or the Paimon Menu).
- Click on the small icon that resembles a coat hanger.
- Click on the second outfit (each will have a different name).
- Click “Toggle”.
Players will be able to switch to the alternate outfits by performing the same process as above at any time. However, there is a slight difference in the displayed buttons. In the image below, the button at the top will be shown if the character is at maximum level while the one below will appear for those travelers who are not level capped yet.
Genshin Impact: The dressing room can have other clothes
In the same way as the step-by-step procedure to exchange for the new clothes above, it is possible to do it with free (or paid) clothing available at other times of Genshin Impact. You can access all your characters and check which ones have this possibility to change clothes.
