Warzone 2 is not coming to PS4 and Xbox One, guarantees insider

According to a recent Bloomberg report, the title Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is already in development, being, along with two other games, one of the three Call of Duty that are still confirmed on PlayStation consoles, even after the Microsoft’s purchase of Activision Blizzard. The information was revealed by the journalist Jason Schreier, which already has a great reputation in the middle.

Now, Tom Henderson, also extremely respected insider by the community, brought new information, confirming the existence of the continuation of Call of Duty: Warzone. Henderson further stated that the game will not be released for old-gen consoles.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is not coming to PS4 and Xbox One

On his official Twitter profile. Tom Henderson stated that Warzone 2 will not be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, only coming to current-gen consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) and PC. Henderson said the next title will be a completely new game, made for better hardware.

In his tweet, the insider even warns that there will be no integration with weapons from other editions of Warzone.

Warzone 2 is literally that… Warzone 2. Current generation and PC only… No previous weapon integrations etc.

A completely new game for the best hardware.

While Jason Schreier and Tom Henderson are extremely reliable sources, with many hits over the years, it’s important to remember that Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is still not officially announced by Activision, just like any other new game in the war franchise.

Additionally, according to Bloomberg, only three more Call of Duty games are certain to arrive on PlayStation, with the future beyond that being uncertain. The information has also not been officially confirmed.
