3 reasons NOT to buy!

After reviewing the DELL G15, version with AMD Ryzen 5600H and RTX 3050 graphics card, we’ve separated three main reasons we don’t like it and why we think you shouldn’t buy the product if one of these is really essential for your use. So, be sure to read the article until the end and take the opportunity to subscribe to our Youtube channel.

Reason 1: Keyboard outside the ABNT2 standard

Dell G15 – non-ABNT2 standard keyboard

The DELL G15 is officially marketed in Brazil, the non-use of the ABNT2 standard on its keyboard, kind of goes against DELL’s own principles of bringing products and manufacturing them here. If you don’t care all that much about the ç on the keyboard, well that might not be a bad reason so I do and I certainly miss keyboards that don’t. I usually work writing texts, so there is a real need in my case.

Reason 2: Moto G is for handsome

The G Mode on the notebook is that system that “boosts” the notebook, but in our tests it doesn’t change practically anything in relation to performance, on the other hand, the increase in fan noise is very high. You know the increase in fan frequency even makes us think that, wow, he’s overclocked now, but no, it’s just more noise. In our tests in games, the variation is around 2 to 3 frames of difference with it on, a performance that I don’t even consider to be a differential.

Reason 3: Heavy

If you’re looking for mobility, know that a gaming notebook isn’t the best in the picture. They are usually large, heavy and awkward to handle. We’re talking about 2.5Kg here, not easy to move, let alone put it in your backpack.

If that wasn’t enough, the 180W charger, yes, it’s 180W charger is also heavy and big. These two components alone in your backpack add 3kg of weight.

Conclusion

Thinking about the three negative points, I still found on the first day an exaggerated heating on the surface above it, but after installing all the drivers and updating the notebook, it stopped happening. Even in the stress tests it kept around 70 to 75ºC with 100% GPU usage. Just an addendum here, because it happened.
