Foot – THE – Liverpool

Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp said he was impressed to see his two strikers Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah handling the pressure to reach the CAN final with Senegal and Egypt. Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool coach): “How much we’re going to enjoy it, I don’t know. But it was obvious, and I watched a lot of matches, that Naby Keita was the absolute leader in the Guinea team, the same for Sadio in the Senegal team and of course Mo (Wrong) with Egypt. Yesterday (Thursday), when the coach was gone because he got a red card, before the penalty shootout, you saw Mo talking, doing this stuff with the whole group. All of these things, all of the experience that these boys get in these situations helps us, of course. In the short term, I’m not sure. In the long run, it will help them. It is really very impressive to see. It is very important that you go through this stuff. It’s obviously difficult to get that far in a tournament, they’re superstars, so the pressure on them was huge. I’m really proud of how they handled the situation, to be honest. Now two of them are in the final and yes we will watch it. »
