The journey of a thousand years begins today. The Celtic RPG The Waylanders is now available for PC

Gato Salvaje Studio is pleased to announce that their real-time role-playing game, The Waylanders, has now been fully released on Steam and GOG. The Waylanders costs €39.99 with a 10% bi-weekly discount and can be played in English, French, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Russian and Gato Team’s native Galician language.

“The Waylanders is a project we’ve been working on for the past five years and I’m incredibly proud of what the team has created. It’s a story born from our Galician roots, and we’ve been inspired by many of the stories from our heritage,” said Gato Salvaje co-founder Fernando Prieto. “Now that The Waylanders has launched we are working on the first update for the game and as we add new content and improvements we will be working with the community to ensure their feedback is heard.”

The Waylanders is a journey through two eras – the time of Celtic myths and gods and the mastery of magic by humans in the Middle Ages. This is a story full of colorful companions with whom you will travel, fight and romance in two lifetimes. Starring Amber Rose Revah (The Punisher, Son of God), Simon Templeman (Dragon Age Series, Mass Effect Series, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain), Ralph Ineson (The Green Knight, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance ), Ash Sroka (Mass Effect series, Ar-k series, Blood+) and many others, The Waylanders is a story few will forget.

The Waylanders builds on classic real-time fantasy RPGs while adding new formation abilities to the genre that grant special powers based on party composition. Spear formations deal extra damage and can be used to control narrow paths, the Shield Wall is a powerful counter against ranged enemies, and many more magical transformations can be unlocked, including the devastating Earth Elemental and Spirit Tower combos.

Shortly after the launch of The Waylanders, Gato Studio will release The Waylanders Official Soundtrack as DLC for the game for $7.99. This soundtrack features 26 tracks totaling 48 minutes of original compositions from The Waylanders by legendary composer Inon Zur.
