How many studios has Xbox acquired in the last 5 years?

At the beginning of Xbox many complained that there were no exclusive games and so it was better to stick with PC games. Microsoft and Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, have been working to change this thinking, where one of the main strategies is being the purchase of interesting studios to develop exclusives for the console. This practice has intensified in recent years, even shocking the gaming industry with some purchases.

The great growth of Xbox Game Studios undoubtedly surprised everyone, even if they weren’t a fan of the consoles. Because of this, Klobrille posted two images on Twitter showing how many studios belonged to Xbox in 2017 and how many are under the console’s umbrella in 2022. In 2017, Xbox only had: Rare, Mojang, Turn 10, 343 Industries and The coalition.
