Dua Lipa postpones her Montreal concert


February was announced as the month of the return of international tours to Montreal. Will this still be the case, while the performance halls are still closed? The British queen of dance-pop Dua Lipa has just given the beginning of an answer to this question by postponing her scheduled stop at the Bell Center on February 22 until the end of July.

While his tour Future Nostalgia due to begin on February 9 in Miami, Dua Lipa will not see her Montreal and Toronto fans again until July 25 and 27 respectively, she announced on Monday on Twitter. Knowing that the interpreter of Levitating will also be the headliner of Osheaga on July 31, her most convinced fans can take comfort in knowing that they will have two potential dates with her in one week.

Launched in the midst of a pandemic, the album Future Nostalgia, designed for dance floors, has not yet given rise to the expected communion between the singer and her audience. The tour of the same name, announced in December 2019, has been postponed numerous times and has not yet started.

As for the major February tours, Billie Eilish, Imagine Dragons and The Kid LAROI are still expected in the metropolis next month, while Elton John has postponed his farewell to the Montrealers for a month.
