3299 hospitalized patients and 52 new deaths in Quebec


Quebec recorded 52 new deaths linked to COVID-19, in its report on Monday, 19 more than the day before.

A total of 12,851 Quebecers have lost their lives since the start of the pandemic.

The province also reported 16 more hospitalizations during the 24 hours, for a total of 3,299, while 263 people are in intensive care (-10).

In addition, 2807 new cases were officially diagnosed with PCR tests.

Hospitalizations also increased slightly in Ontario (3,861, +64), as did the number of people in intensive care (615, +11). The country’s most populous province added 37 more deaths to its toll on Monday.

Similar to Quebec, access to PCR testing in Ontario remains limited and 4,790 more people have tested positive for COVID-19, pushing the province above the 1 million COVID-19 case mark.
