The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has just been officially presented during a big conference organized by the brand. This disproportionate smartphone relies on a huge photo module (with a very large main sensor, a digital zoom x120), ultra-fast charging with or without wireless and excellent quality for the screen and sound.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has received a lot of buzz over the past few weeks. Here it is officially presented now. The name of the smartphone does not make a mystery: it wants to offer the most successful experience on the high end of the brand and mainly focuses on photos and video.
In this regard, we can observe a huge module with three sensors on the back of the smartphone. On the upper part of the rear surface, it is in fact spread over the entire width. The message is clear: the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra wants to flaunt the great performance of its cameras.
Everything for photo and video
The general public will remember in particular that the three on-board sensors know how to film in 8K at 24 frames per second and take advantage of a night mode.
Exactly, let’s take a closer look at the configuration of the Mi 11 Ultra. The smartphone is equipped with the ” largest smartphone camera sensor currently on the market “. Designed jointly with Samsung, it has a size of 1 / 1.12 inch for a definition of 50 megapixels and a lens opening at f / 1.95. Said sensor promises very good low-light performance by merging four pixels into one to capture more light, as is now customary on such devices.
Added to this is a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (f / 2.2) with a 128-degree field of view. This is also used for macro photos. Finally, the telephoto lens is also entitled to a definition of 48 megapixels (f / 4.1) for an optical zoom x5 and a digital magnification of up to x120. Optical stabilization is also part of the telephoto lens – and obviously on the main sensor.
The brand affirms it loud and clear, this ” amazing three camera setup ” is ” Xiaomi’s most advanced to date “. On the front, the sensor for selfies is 20 megapixels (f / 2.2).
Charging 67 W with or without wire
The other major advantage of this Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is its fast charging. The 5000 mAh battery in fact benefits from a 67 W block. That is not all: we find this power in the wireless charging which can also go up to 67 W. The manufacturer promises that we find the 100% energy in just 36 minutes.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra continues to roll mechanics on other aspects of its technical sheet with a Snapdragon 888 coupled with LPPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Two screens and an imposing ceramic design
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is a large, wide and heavy smartphone: 164.3 x 74.6 x 8.38 mm for a very substantial weight of 234 grams. It features a 6.81-inch QHD + curved screen with AMOLED display and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 30 to 120 Hz. For excellent responsiveness to touch, touch sampling rises to 480 Hz.
The slab is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus while the back is made of ceramic. Let’s dwell a little longer on the back, because we must point out – to the right of the photo sensors – the presence of a rear screen of 1.1 inch, AMOLED also and a small definition of 126 x 294 pixels. The latter takes advantage of an Always-on display mode to always display important information and notifications. It is also used to preview the photos you take, for example if you use the rear sensors for a selfie.
It is also good to underline the presence of two stereo speakers certified Harman Kardon as on the classic Xiaomi Mi 11. Important: the Mi 11 Ultra is IP68 certified for waterproofing.
No price yet for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will indeed be released in France, but we do not yet know the official prices in euros that will be charged in France. However, we know that the smartphone will be available in white and black.
Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra also highlights its 5G compatibility, in particular with the 3.5 GHz frequency band (n78) which is based on infrastructures specially designed for this network. This will give you the freedom to choose the 5G package that suits you the most.
