After a first attempt with the WiSHAKE Pocket which was inspired by Apple’s AirPods, Wiko unveiled the WiBUDS Essentials. Same principle of wireless touchscreen headphones and honest autonomy (16 hours), but this time they will draw their inspiration from Samsung’s Galaxy Buds with their button format.
May the smartphone manufacturer who does not have wireless headphones today raise his hand! They are no longer legion. After unveiling its WiSHAKE Pocket in the summer, Wiko is launching a new model with the arrival of WiBUDS Essentials.
Touch control and hands-free calling promised
Unlike the previous model which had opted for Apple AirPods-style “rods”, these wireless headphones now have a button-like appearance like Samsung’s Galaxy Buds or Sennheiser’s Momentum TrueWireless for better ergonomics.
This does not deprive the WiBUDS Essentials of tactile control thanks to the on-board multifunction control button. You can start or stop your music, turn up the volume, go to the next song or take calls.
Light in weight and price
Each earbud weighs just 4.5 grams and has received IPX4 certification for splash and drop protection. They slip into a storage box. You can enjoy 4 hours of music with the WiBUDS Essentials headphones and the case brings three additional charges (12 hours) for a total use up to 16 hours. It’s a little better than the Silvercrest headphone model offered by Lidl for 25 euros and as much as the WiSHAKE at 30 euros.
Wiko promises clear sound with powerful bass thanks to the 8mm speakers each. WiBUDS Essentials connect to your Android device, smartphone or tablet like Apple, via Bluetooth 5.0.
The WiBUDS Essentials are offered at 29.99 euros in a matt white version and available on the Wiko site.
