The year 2020 is (finally) coming to an end and the year 2021 is beginning to loom on the horizon. This will bring its share of new products and high-end smartphones. To prepare this ground, Qualcomm this week unveiled its new SoC, the Snapdragon 888.

Among the novelties of this chip, we can of course cite the increase in power, the engraving which goes from 7 to 5 nm, the integration of the 5G modem, a triple ISP capable of managing 3 simultaneous video streams for photos and better quality videos, an improvement in everything related to artificial intelligence, as well as new technologies like VRS (Variable Rate Shading) to improve the quality of video games.

A few days after this announcement, several manufacturers confirmed that they were already working on smartphones equipped with this chip. Some are of course not surprises (Xiaomi Mi 11, OnePlus 9 …) since they are equipped every year with the latest 8xx series SoC from the San Diego firm, but others are more astonishing (like the next one Motorola Moto G, used to looking for value for money before raw power).

Which smartphone are you waiting for?

But in this list, which manufacturer, or even which smartphone do you expect the most in 2021? Note that Samsung is present in this list, but generally only integrates Qualcomm chips on the American models of its smartphones. The version marketed in Europe is powered by an Exynos SoC.
