If you thought that Samsung’s range of smartphones was already a bit complex, the mention of a Galaxy Note 20 FE on an official website of the manufacturer does not help matters.
Could we see a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 FE soon? In any case, it would seem that the Korean manufacturer has let this mention slip on its Brazilian site.
A very successful first Galaxy S20 FE
Last September, for its Unpacked 2020 event, Samsung confirmed that an FE edition could be expected every year. At first glance, this seems to apply to the Galaxy S series, after a very successful first attempt with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE which caused a lot of talk and seduced us.
Positioned between the middle and the top of the range, the device intends to offer good value for money and is a direct competitor of the OnePlus 8T and the Pixel 5 from Google.
One can then wonder if the FE variant – for Fan Edition – could apply to smartphones of the Note series. And judging by some, it may well be that the manufacturer may one day offer a more competitive version of its large smartphones.
A typo or an accidental leak?
The specialized blog SamMobile spotted the notion of Galaxy Note 20 FE in a footnote on Samsung’s official website in Brazil. It is explained that the screen of the Galaxy Note 20 FE offers a diagonal of 6.3 inches and 6.5 inches if we take into account the rounded side angles.
At first glance, this feature seems more related to the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. It could therefore be a typo. However, Samsung also seems to use it directly within the source code of the web page. This time, the company describes the benefits of night mode by showing two photos side by side.
An increasingly difficult range to read
Anyway, it may become more and more difficult to navigate in already particularly complex ranges. Moreover, it is quite possible that this confusion even led to this typo …
In addition, it could harm some models marketed by Samsung. We sometimes find terminals that are not very judiciously positioned. VSas underlined SamMobile, right now, for example, the Galaxy Note 20 differs from the Galaxy S20 FE primarily in stylus support. Yet the price difference is “significant”.
