After the Sedan and Cabriolet versions, the new electric Fiat 500 is entitled to the 3 + 1 version, whose particularity lies in its antagonistic door. The latter thus offers better access to the rear seats.
Fiat took advantage of the year 2020 to slowly reveal the various variants planned for its electric city car Fiat 500. The Cabriolet version was initially inducted, followed by the Sedan, for prices each time deemed too high with regard to its category: a city car.
The Italian manufacturer is putting the cover back at the end of 2020 with the 3 + 1 version, which does not lack originality. This Fiat 500 indeed accommodates a small opposing door which thus gives better access to the rear seat. However, its dimensions have not changed – 3,632 mm -, on the contrary of its weight, heavier by only 30 kilos. Which will have no ” significant effect on handling or fuel consumption », Assures the brand.
Initially, only the “La Prima” version (the most expensive of the finishes) will be available. Here is its equipment: LED headlights in “Infinity” design, two-tone 17-inch diamond-coated rims, steering wheel covered with eco-leather, exclusive La Prima plaque on the door pillar, intelligent speed limiter, lane departure warning or still recognition of road signs.
Power and autonomy
The list goes on: automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist recognition, reversing camera with dynamic lines, 360 ° parking sensor and blind spot sensors, automatic rain and light sensors, emergency call , electric parking brake, 10.25 inch touchscreen, 7 inch navigation screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Much like the “La Prima” finish of the Cabriolet and Sedan, an 87 kW (118 horsepower) motor was installed alongside a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery giving it a range of 320 kilometers, depending on the cycle. ‘WLTP approval. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 9 seconds, for a maximum speed of 150 km / h.
Fiat 500: finishes and their equipment
Fiat also presented all the other finishes of its model, starting with the “Action” finish, which is the entry level: 70 kW (95 hp) engine, 23.8 kWh battery, 180 km of range (240 km in urban use), lane crossing alert, sign recognition, 7-inch screen, fatigue detector, light sensor, emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection and manual air conditioning.
The “Passion” finish gains in autonomy with its 42 kWh battery: 320 km, or 460 km in urban use. Compatible with the fast charge of 85 kW, this version is also more powerful with its 87 kW (118 hp) engine which gives it a top speed of 150 km / h. Add to it compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen, cruise control and 15-inch steel rims.
The “Icon” finish benefits from the same power and autonomy as the Passion, but also accommodates a 10.25-inch touch screen, GPS, voice control, 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, a reversing radar, intelligent speed limiter and keyless entry system.
The “Icône Plus” finish also enjoys the same range and power, and benefits from the following equipment: 17-inch rims, LED headlights, dark-tinted rear windows, panoramic glass roof, photochromatic interior mirror, induction phone charger, rear seat split, mat, central armrest, six seat adjustments (instead of four).
