In India, some Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro users have started receiving an update that switches MIUI to Android 11.
While all eyes are on the Mi 11 which will make their appearance on the international scene on February 8, Xiaomi is not abandoning its Mi 10T and 10T Pro.
According to Indian users, relayed by the site GSMArena, the Chinese firm has reportedly started deploying an update to upgrade its flagship smartphones to an improved MIUI 12 stable version based on Android 11.
Released at the end of 2020, the Mi 10T and 10T Pro had been shipped with MIUI 12 based on Android 10. They could therefore quickly join the list of Xiaomi smartphones that switch to Android 11.
An update reserved for the privileged few
RJDINXM version 220.127.116.11 weighs 2.8 GB, which is the weight of a major update and not just simple security fixes, which are also made with the deployment. According to the Indian blog Adimorahblog, it would only concern a handful of users who will be offered it. It will then go on public deployment.
If India is the first country affected by the arrival of the new version, even before China, it should undoubtedly then be available to other Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro users in the rest of the world.
