Ring has announced the arrival of two new references to its French catalog: the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro outdoor security camera with light and the Video Doorbell 4 video doorbell. These are the evolution of flagship models of the brand owned by Amazon
Specialist in surveillance cameras, Ring continues to expand its range for all corners of the house, but also to enrich its references with ever more features to strengthen the security of your home.
3D detection and color night vision
The Amazon-owned company unveiled on Wednesday its Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, the most advanced version of its outdoor camera with light. And this time around, it inherits innovative functions like the 3D motion detection. Its integrated radar is made more precise to detect objects and refine the management of movement alerts.
This camera, which requires an electrical connection, has an audio system bidirectional with Audio + which better handles noise cancellation and mic to limit sound distortion. You will be able to hear with much less echo, promises Ring.
The camera can now record HD videos in 1536p with color night vision. The video stream offers 1080p HDR.
Another interesting addition, the aerial view of the place. This map will map where motion detection starts to give more context to the recorded event and understand the nature of the perceived event, as well as the path of people detected.
All this is in addition to the functions of the previous Ring Floodlight Cam such as customization of detection zone or privacy zone, setting of alert notifications, bright spotlight (2000 lumens), powerful siren of warning, live video stream, etc.
Ring adds a version 30-day free trial at Ring Protect to discover other features like Advanced Pre-Roll which starts recording the video just before motion detection, People Only mode to define the type of alert, and advanced notifications.
The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro will be available in black and white soon for 249 euros on the Ring website or on Amazon.
A video doorbell also receives in color
Another product that is undergoing improvements is Ring’s famous battery-powered video doorbell. The Video Doorbell arrives in its fourth version. It is equipped with a 1080p HD video camera with two-way audio system to better see and hear your visitor. And the Pre-Roll preview also becomes available in color on the doorbell to let you see 4 seconds before motion is detected.
You are always notified live when the doorbell rings or if the improved motion detector signals someone near your door. It is possible to define an area in which each recorded movement will be notified to you. As with any Ring camera, you can view the video feed at any time from the Ring app and customize your detection settings. The Ring Video Doorbell 4 also improves its connection and supports the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands.
Alexa is always operational to display the video stream from your door on demand on a screen.
The Ring Protect subscription is again useful for getting more precise notifications and customizing detection to limit it to people.
The Ring Video Doorbell 4 is on sale from May 5 at 199 euros on the Ring website and on Amazon.
