2020 is a very special year, and Acer took some notes to design its Spin 5 with 360 ° hinge.
Acer today unveils its new collection of computer products. In this range is the revised and corrected Spin 5.
A touch screen in 3: 2 format and antimicrobial
As its name suggests, the Spin is a convertible product capable of rotating the screen behind the keyboard to turn into a tablet. The PC now does this with a 3: 2 screen, capable of displaying 18% more information compared to a 16: 9 screen in the same chassis.
Laptops are making a real move upmarket in terms of screens in 2020, with a larger selection of 3: 2 screens and high-quality panels (OLED, HDR, DCI-P3, etc.). Here, unfortunately, Acer does not say more about the display characteristics of the screen. Instead, the mark extends to other points.
Acer seems very proud to showcase the screen and the touchpad which have the right to a Corning Gorilla antimicrobial coating, with an optional coating for the silver ion keyboard compliant with BPR and EPA standards. The coronavirus has been there.
For the rest, the brand’s press release mentions a weight of 1.2 kg for a thickness of 14.9 mm and the possibility of using a Wacom AES Acer Active Stylus supplied with the machine. The PC incorporates an 11th generation Intel Core i7 chip with Iris Xe graphics chip for an advertised autonomy of 15 hours.
Launch in December
This new Acer Spin 5 will be available from December in France for a price starting at 1099 euros.
