Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro

The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro marks a big change with the classic model of the year 2019. Previously sportier, this new version is all about sobriety, with a magnificent and solid titanium case. No extravagance with numbers on the bezel, only single strokes every five minutes. The finishes are more exemplary and this can be seen in particular in the much more harmonious integration of the screen into the dial, as well as in the finesse of its design.

With 46 mm wide, the circular AMOLED panel offers a diagonal of 1.39 inches, and a definition of 454 x 454 pixels. The result is excellent with the infinite contrasts, but even more so with the very high maximum brightness. Not to mention the handy Always-On Display feature that allows you to keep the screen on at all times. In addition, the Huawei watch offers a wide choice of wallpapers for the dial with 7 models installed, and even more to download for free with the application.

Like any self-respecting connected watch, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro has a bunch of sensors, including the heart rate monitor, the accelerometer, the gyroscope, the barometer, the altimeter and even the GPS. There is also an optical heart rate sensor used to measure the oxygen saturation of the blood (SpO2). In addition to the classic tracking of the number of steps or heart rate, the watch can obviously launch many training modes, 100 in total, including 17 professional training modes, ranging from outdoor walking to snowboarding, including trial race, golf or indoor swimming.

It works under Lite OS, with a complete and smooth user experience thanks to the good performance of its Kirin A1 chip. As usual with Huawei products, you will need to download the Huawei Health application and, if your smartphone is not of the brand, install Huawei Mobile Services. It’s a tedious step, but the app is pretty well thought out and allows access to a lot of additional parameters, such as sleep tracking and many others.

To finish with autonomy, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is a good student with almost a week of endurance on its counter. It’s not over yet, because its induction charging mode is also a real strength. The watch can therefore be charged on any charging base compatible with the Qi protocol. Finally, allow a good two hours to fully recharge it.
