the new Aspire PCs go under AMD Ryzen 5000

Along with its monitors and gaming PCs in particular, Acer has also updated its range of Aspire laptops. And these also inherit the AMD Ryzen 5000 mobile processors to bring more performance and speed to affordable models.

There is no reason why the cheapest laptops are deprived of performance. This is in essence the idea of ​​Acer when unveiling the updates of its Aspire 5 and Aspire 7, at CES 2021. The Taiwanese brand has already unveiled its new products for its gaming PCs, monitors and Chromebook . The only thing missing was ultraportables for the greatest number.

The new models reflect the same aim of the range: a versatile, high-performance and enduring device for the greatest number and for all types of activity. And for that, lhe 2021 vintage will benefit from the new AMD Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors designed to boost ultraportables by bringing them powerful performance and faster execution.

Powerful and multifunctional for the Aspire 7

Being a mobility product is the shocking asset of Aspire 7 which takes the elegant lines of its predecessor. In addition to the AMD mobile processor, it has a graphics card from Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 1650. It will be ideal for use in leisure or for productivity, with the possibility of adding up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory. and up to 1TB of SSD storage.

On the scale, it’s not the lightest (2.15 kg), but still easy to carry with its 15.6-inch Full HD screen surrounded by ultra-thin bezels. The Aspire 7 also benefits from a thermal design that optimizes cooling. With a simple shortcut Fn + F, you can adjust the fan speed according to your needs (quiet for working, high performance for playing).

The Aspire 5, the right compromise

Under an identical frame in very fine sandblasted aluminum (17.95 mm thick), Aspire 5 for its part on an AMD Radeon RX 640 graphics card with up to 24 GB of memory. It embeds an NVMe1 PCIe SSD card up to 1 TB M.2 or up to 2 TB HDD. It features a 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel with BlueLightShield technology to reduce blue light emissions.

The Aspire 5 and Aspire 7 are dual-band Wi-Fi 6 compatible and feature USB-C connectivity for fast data transfer up to 5 Gbps.

The two laptops will be available from the second quarter of 2021. They will be sold from 699 euros for the Aspire 5 and 899 euros for the Aspire 7.
