On the occasion of a partnership between OnePlus and Stadia, the Chinese manufacturer revealed the existence of the OnePlus Nord2.
This Tuesday, OnePlus launched an offer in partnership with Stadia, Google’s streaming video game platform. This offer allows you to take advantage of the Stadia Premiere Edition kit with a controller and a Chromecast Ultra for any purchase of a OnePlus smartphone.
On the UK Stadia page, you can also find out more about the conditions. We learn that the offer is available up to 30 days after the purchase of a OnePlus smartphone and that the models concerned are The OnePlus 8T, the OnePlus 8 Pro, the OnePlus North, the OnePlus 9, the OnePlus 9 Pro or… the OnePlus Nord2.
As the Android Police site spotted, the Stadia page actually cites a OnePlus smartphone that has not yet been officially presented by the Chinese manufacturer, the OnePlus Nord2. Since then, the site in question has been modified to remove the mention of the smartphone, but the damage is done: OnePlus and Google Stadia have therefore already confirmed the existence of the smartphone as well as its name. Above all, the fact that the smartphone is listed among the devices eligible for the offer suggests an upcoming launch.
An expected OnePlus Nord2 with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip
This is not the first time that the OnePlus Nord2 has been talked about. In early March, it was the Android Central site that unveiled some of the features of the smartphone. According to the specialized site, the smartphone should be equipped with a MediaTek chip and not Qualcomm, the Dimensity 1200. The smartphone should also be launched at an attractive price, in particular thanks to the lower price of this chip compared to the Snapdragon models.
The OnePlus Nord2 should of course succeed the OnePlus Nord, launched at the end of July 2020. One can easily imagine that OnePlus keeps the same schedule for this year with the presentation of the OnePlus Nord2 during the summer.
