The Oppo Find X2 Neo is a smartphone that wants to get as close as possible to the premium segment and that starts with the design. We obviously do not find the ceramic back of the Pro version, but its screen with curved edges and the presence of the small punch at the top left already create the illusion. The 6.5-inch panel is also OLED with a Full HD + definition and offering a 90 Hz refresh rate.
Super powerful Snapdragon 865 point here, but an excellent 765G (5G compatible) that has already proven itself in terms of performance. It is often said, but Qualcomm’s Series 7 actually has almost nothing to envy the most premium chips as it provides sufficient power to meet all needs, even with 3D games. In addition, the smartphone is boosted by 12 GB of RAM for a user experience that is always fluid on a daily basis, even with multitasking.
It is then important to specify that Oppo has made a lot of efforts with its Color OS 7 interface based on Android 10. It is now clear and very complete in terms of features and customizations, with in particular the possibility of configuring the drawer. ‘applications, change the shape of icons, enjoy the dark theme or gesture navigation. Difficult to blame him at the moment therefore.
On the side of the photo, it does not do so badly with four sensors on the back. Versatility is appreciated and the quality of the shots is also appreciated, a little less at night, but we regret the flagrant lack of colorimetric consistency between the different cameras. The composition is as follows:
- 48 megapixel main camera (/ 1.7)
- 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle (f / 2.2), used for macro mode
- 2 megapixel monochrome (f / 2.4), used for portrait mode
- 13 megapixel telephoto lens (f / 2.4), optical zoom x2, hybrid x5
It makes up for it, however, with good battery life thanks to its 4,025 mAh battery. Enough to allow it to last very easily the day, even an additional day depending on your use. The smartphone also manages its 90 Hz mode very well and will switch to 10% after about 40 hours. Count 25% remaining in 60 Hz mode over the same period. It’s also compatible with Vooc 4.0 fast charging to get its full battery back in under an hour, but no wireless charging on the horizon.
