The Chinese brand offers an Elegant Edition of its Huawei Watch Fit, released last September. It is available for 129.99 euros as of today.
This had already been the case for the Huawei Watch GT Elegant, Huawei is expanding its range of connected watches by offering an “Elegant Edition” of the Huawei Watch Fit at 129.99 euros. The old edition, launched in September and sold for around 90 euros, is now called the “Active Edition”.
This Elegant Edition introduces two additional colors: White (Frosty White) and Black (Midnight Black). In terms of materials, there is also change. This version abandons aluminum in favor of stainless steel, and offers a fluoroelastomer strap, supposed to provide more comfort and durability than the silicone strap of the Active Edition, but also often considered more aesthetic.
Continuous oxygen measurement
With the release of this watch, Huawei improves the measurement of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and promises, for both editions, spO2 monitoring “Throughout the day, keeping users informed of their health and alerting them when their SpO2 levels are too low. “
Another novelty according to the press release, the Huawei Watch Fit Elegant Edition would go a little further in terms of screen customization. The brand writes: “With the touch of a finger, users can set one of their favorite photos taken from their smartphone as their wallpaper; you can relive your favorite moments by posting a photo of your pet, friends or a souvenir selfie. “
During our test of the Huawei Watch Fit, we mentioned a watch that leaned more towards the connected bracelet than a smartwatch complete, and a priori, this should not change with this more luxurious edition.
In terms of autonomy, the brand promises 10 days with the heart rate and sleep functions activated. In fact, during our test, we measured 8 days and 8 hours with moderate use, which remains a good result for a connected watch.
Moreover, this new smartwatch should benefit from a fast charge that would, in five minutes of charging, see it last a whole day. This roughly fits with the measurement we did when testing its little sister, where 20 minutes of charge gave 74% of battery life.
