An Apple supplier has reportedly started mass production. Information that corresponds to the release schedule of AirPods 3.
The famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo estimated at the beginning of March that Apple’s next wireless headphones, the AirPods 3, should be marketed at the end of 2021. A projection now supported by the sources of the Digitimes. They tell the site that a supplier, ASE Technology, has started production of optical sensors that will be used on the next generation of AirPods.
This schedule fits well with mass production that would begin in the coming months, between July and September, for a large-scale commercial launch at the end of the year.
An important market for Apple
Since the launch of the first AirPods, Apple’s line of audio peripherals has grown significantly until the release of their first AirPods Max headphones. It is above all a real success for the apple brand which allows it to further expand its market outside the iPhone, and thus diversify its sources of income.
The 3rd generation AirPods have already been leaked several times. In particular, we had the right to a first glimpse of their design in February. We do not yet know the exact new features planned for these new headphones, which should in particular ignore the active noise isolation, always reserved for AirPods Pro.
