By certifying the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the FCC confirms in a document the presence of an S Pen stylus.
It’s a rumor we’ve been hearing for a long time: the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra should benefit from an S Pen. The accessory would therefore no longer be the exclusive signature of the manufacturer’s Note range.
This track becomes even more concrete. Indeed, the smartphone has passed on the billiards of the FCC, the American authority responsible for certifying telecommunications devices before their marketing.
The S-Pen evoked black on white
In one of its documents, the FCC explains that it has tested the model number SMG998B and bluntly mentions the presence of a stylus “S-PENAs can be seen in the screenshot below.
Recall that some outright predicted the disappearance of the Note range from Samsung in favor of the S range and also Z Fold – the latter too could inherit the S Pen. But these assumptions have been denied by the brand.
In the box or not?
It remains to be seen whether the S Pen will immediately come with the Galaxy S21 Ultra or whether it will have to be purchased separately. Also, according to the latest news, Samsung is reportedly preparing a special case to store the stylus, since the phone will not have a dedicated drawer.
The FCC also confirms the integration of reverse wireless charging, Wi-Fi 6E and Ultra Wideband technology. As a reminder, three Galaxy S21s are expected and Samsung should present them on January 14, just after lifting the veil on its future high-end Exynos.
