The Penguins quickly erased a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 in a shootout against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday in Pittsburgh, extending their winning streak to five.

The local favorites needed just nine seconds to tie the game in the third period. Kasperi Kapanen first hit the target, then Jeff Carter took advantage of a very poor outing by goalkeeper Connor Hellebuyck to bring the two teams back on an even footing.
Sidney Crosby was then the lone scorer in the shootout. Tristan Jarry, meanwhile, made 27 saves in the victory.
