COVID-19: significant increase in hospitalizations in Eastern Quebec

The epidemiological situation continues to deteriorate in Eastern Quebec. In Bas-Saint-Laurent, the integrated health and social services center (CISSS) has increased the number of beds available for patients affected by COVID-19, after the region broke its hospitalization record: 33 patients were bedridden on Monday. Two end up in intensive care. 48 beds are therefore available. 20 are found in Rimouski, 20 in Rivière-du-Loup, and the rest are separated between peripheral hospitals, including La Pocatière, Amqui and Matane in particular.
