The Realme GT 5G is the new name of the Realme Race Pro, the next flagship of the brand which will be unveiled in China in a few days.
Don’t call it Realme Race Pro anymore. The new flagship of the Chinese brand now has a very official trade name and it is the Realme GT 5G. A rather sober name for a flagship which promises to be very interesting.
Snapdragon 888 and 160 Hz display
We had already heard of its rather mouth-watering characteristics. In addition to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888, which blew us away in the just tested Xiaomi Mi 11, this smartphone would be equipped with a large 6.8-inch OLED screen with an impressive refresh rate at 160 Hz and a definition of 3200 x 1440 pixels. Hopefully it will be possible to adapt the refresh rate according to the applications, to avoid consuming the battery for nothing.
The phone should also offer a 5000 mAh battery rechargeable very quickly to 125W. It would run on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0. Unsurprisingly, given its name, the phone will offer compatibility with 5G networks.
Presentation March 4
Realme revealed this morning that its Realme GT 5G will be officially presented in China on March 4. We will certainly have to wait a bit to see it land in Europe. The phone will therefore be presented in two weeks at the time of this writing. It could be the second smartphone marketed with a Snapdragon 888 in Europe. The first is so far the Xiaomi Mi 11.
Above all, it remains to be seen at what price this new flagship will be offered in France.
