Samsung unveils the presentation date of its future high-end Exynos chip that will equip the Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra. The brand arouses curiosity with its slogan “Exynos is back”.
As we know, Samsung is actively preparing its future Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra. As with previous generations, the European versions of these smartphones should carry an Exynos chip – designed in-house by the South Korean giant – instead of Qualcomm’s latest and very attractive Snapdragon 888 reserved for other geographical areas. If this practice is usually a source of frustration for a fringe of users, the year 2021 could be a game-changer.
Samsung has indeed announced the date on which it will present its new high-end chip, supposedly called Exynos 2100 according to the latest rumors. Appointment is therefore taken for January 12, 2021.

The firm puts forward a slogan: ” Exynos is back “, is “Exynos is back” in French. This sentence sounds like a promise to all users disappointed by the Exynos 990 which had been shown to be much less powerful than the Snapdragon 865 and above all much less efficient in its energy management.
Exynos 2100 vs Snapdragon 888
Beyond that, we remember that a few years ago, Exynos chips were more popular than Qualcomm’s. By promising a comeback of the Exynos, Samsung suggests that the European Galaxy S21s will not have to be ashamed of their alter egos under S888.
In addition, according to some sources including theleakerIce Universe, the Exynos 2100 could outright perform better in terms of raw performance than Qualcomm’s SoC. Let’s not rush into hasty conclusions, but these data and Samsung’s slogan make you want to believe in a revival of high-end Exynos chips. Remember, however, that an SoC battle is not just a matter of power. Artificial intelligence, connectivity and the processing of photos taken by smartphones also come into play.
Now all we have to do is wait to see whether our hopes will be dashed or not. Also note that the presentation of the new Exynos takes place just before the officialization of the Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra expected for January 14, only two days later.
