Samsung announces its Galaxy Unpacked conference, and takes the opportunity to confirm the design

As the rumors had announced, Samsung will hold a conference dedicated to its new high-end Galaxy smartphones on January 14, 2021.

If you follow the latest news from Samsung, you won’t be surprised by this announcement. The brand officially announced its Galaxy Unpacked conference for January 14, 2021. This date had been mentioned many times by the leaks around the new Galaxy S21, the next flagship of the manufacturer.

If this seems early to you, it’s quite natural, Samsung had rather accustomed us to unveil its new high-end smartphones from the month of February or March in previous years. It’s hard to know exactly why the brand changed its schedule this year. We can assume that these are the consequences of the year 2020 and the decline in smartphone sales observed.

The design seems to be confirmed

Apart from the date of the presentation, we can take from the invitation what seems to be a confirmation of the main novelty in terms of design. Indeed, the invitation shows in a translucent box the new Galaxy S21 photo module that we recognize by its shape compared to the various leaks surrounding the phone.

Samsung therefore seems to be banking on this point to differentiate its new smartphone from the previous ones. The new camera module appears to be part of the frame of the camera rather than the back, making the bulge created by the size of the lenses less annoying.

At the time of writing, there are therefore only ten days to wait before knowing in detail the three new smartphones that the new Galaxy S family should compose: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Two days before, from January 12, 2021, we should already know more about their capabilities thanks to the presentation of the SoC Exynos 2100 that the three smartphones should integrate in Europe.
