We have known it under the name of “Koi”, used for the teasing of the device. We learn today that the next smartphone from Realme will be called simply “V15”. A name a priori definitive since its announcement is officially scheduled for January 7.
We were talking about it recently, the Realme Koi is changing its name for its launch. The one that will now have to be called Realme V15 will be announced this Thursday, January 7 in China, and sports a design visibly quite different from the one that previous visuals had suggested. On the menu: shimmering colors (gradient of purple, yellow, and dark pink) with the slogan “Dare to Leap” visibly engraved in capital on the back of the device, and three photo modules housed one above the other in the upper left corner of the mobile.
Fun fact, this Realme V15 will be released in China with cards wishing the buyer good luck. Luck, he will indeed need it at the dawn of this new pandemic year, but it is above all an allusion to the previous name of the smartphone: “Koi”, referring to the carp of the same name, it- same symbol of good fortune, perseverance and abundance in some Asian countries. If the device arrives in France, these cards should not be valid.
OLED panel, slight chin on the front and fingerprint sensor under the screen?
Attached to the “V” family of Realme, the V15 should be offered at an attractive price. We do not yet know what its technical characteristics will be, but the mobile could as it stands count on an OLED panel punched at the top left. In the absence of fingerprint sensors on the back of the device, we can assume that the reader will be installed under the screen. Note for the rest the presence of a somewhat thick lower border and the presence of a main sensor of 64 Mpx, mentioned by Chinese dealers.
This device still looks quite different from the portrait drawn for another Realme device in recent weeks. Leaked images relayed by GSMArena notably unveiled a device equipped with a Snapdragon 888 and equipped with a pearly back, where proudly enthroned four photo modules. Realme should therefore have something else to reveal to us a little later, especially since the marketing director of the brand had promised the announcement of a flagship responding to the code name “Race”.
