Realme has just formalized its new Air 2 Buds. These true wireless earphones now adopt a different design from Apple’s AirPods.
Realme took advantage of MWC 2021 in Shanghai to present some new features of the year, including the Realme GT. We were also able to discover the new Realme Buds Air 2 headphones.
Realme Buds Air 2: welcome news
On paper, these are the successors to the Realme Buds Air with a new design. We find the noise cancellation of the first generation, with a new chip and better autonomy.
Aesthetically they are more like the Realme Buds Air Pro, given that the case is a bit more rounded as well. The main novelties are those that we do not see. Indeed, the new Buds Air 2 from Realme integrate active noise cancellation thanks to their dual microphone and a new Realme R2 chip. The Chinese manufacturer says they manage to cancel noise up to 25 decibels.
Other improvements not visible are the 10 millimeter carbon fiber speakers and the IPX5 resistance certification against sweat and water drops. The Bluetooth standard also goes up a notch, it is now Bluetooth 5.2.
According to Realme, they can last up to 25 hours without noise cancellation and taking into account the extra battery life provided by the case. Without the case with 50% volume and active noise cancellation, these wireless headphones would last up to 4 hours.
Note that the new Realme Buds Air 2 have been presented for the moment only in India, but the manufacturer also plans to launch them in France during the month of April. Their price in India is around 38 euros (3299 rupees), available in black and white. We are now waiting for a launch in Europe to know their final price in euros.
