Officially introduced in early September 2020, the Galaxy A42 5G is now available in France at a price of 379 euros. An affordable price to take advantage of the 5G network being deployed.
At the beginning of September, the Korean brand Samsung lifted the veil on a new mid-range phone compatible with 5G: the Galaxy A42 5G. But at the time, all the characteristics had not been communicated by the group nor even its price. The market leader is now correcting the situation with an official announcement.
Let’s start with what we already know: the presence of a 6.6-inch Super Amoled screen. We now learn that the terminal benefits from the Snapdragon 750G processor, which is therefore equipped with an X52 modem dedicated to 5G. At its side, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage (expandable up to 1 TB via microSD) come to support it.
Samsung also gives details on the quad rear camera:
- 48-megapixel main sensor;
- 8 Megapixel Ultra Wide Angle, 123 ° FOV;
- Sensor dedicated to portraits;
- Macro lens.
However, this quartet does not guarantee exceptional photographic quality. Manufacturers love to multiply cameras, but they don’t always deliver convincing results. At the front, the mobile device accommodates a 20 megapixel front sensor.
The Galaxy A42 5G has a very large 5000 mAh battery, which should guarantee excellent battery life. A 15 W charge is also required, as is a fingerprint reader placed under the screen. Available in White, Black and Prismatic Gray, the phone is available at a price of 379 euros on the official website in a single configuration.
