Oppo presented its new active noise canceling headphones, the Oppo Enco X, designed in partnership with the Danes of Dynaudio.
Discreetly, but surely, Oppo has started, since the beginning of the year, to expand beyond the smartphone market in Europe. In addition to its connected watches, the manufacturer also offers true wireless headphones under its “Enco” brand.
Oppo also unveiled on Monday the latest additions to this range, the Oppo Enco X. These headphones notably succeed the Oppo Enco W31 and W51. Designed in partnership with Danish hi-fi manufacturer Dynaudio, the Oppo Enco X are true wireless headphones in in-ear format. What thus offer an effective passive insulation. They also benefit from an active noise reduction function of up to 35 dB according to the manufacturer.
Oppo offers three levels of adjustment, from maximum suppression to transparency mode through a slight reduction of ambient sounds. To do this, the Oppo Enco X are equipped with two microphones per earpiece, in addition to that for calls. According to Oppo, this configuration would also “considerably” reduce ambient noise for the person you are talking to when you call.
Headphones with 11mm speakers
On the sound quality side, the Oppo Enco X are equipped with dynamic transducers 11 mm in diameter. Enough to allow a frequency response ranging from 20 to 20,000 Hz. The manufacturer has equipped its headphones with Bluetooth 5.2 for connection, ensuring a range of 10 meters. On the other hand, on the side of the Bluetooth audio codecs, it will be necessary to be satisfied with the AAC, the SBC and the LHDC. Oppo has not made its Enco X compatible with aptX or LDAC. There is also no question of multipoint Bluetooth allowing you to connect the headphones to two sources at the same time.
Regarding autonomy, the Oppo Enco X can operate for 5.5 hours without noise reduction, and up to four hours with. With the help of the case, the autonomy rises to 25 and 20 hours respectively. The box can also be recharged only by wire, using the USB socket.
The Oppo Enco X headphones are already available for pre-order at a price of 179 euros. They will be commercially available from November 21.
