The Motorola G8 Power is a smartphone that stands out for its long battery life of 3 full days. It is currently available in a pack with a protective shell and a tempered glass screen for only 159 euros at Fnac.
Xiaomi and Realme are not the only solution when looking for a good entry-level smartphone. Motorola is also in the game with its G8 Power, which is also very pleasant to use on a daily basis thanks to its interface very similar to Android Stock. It is currently found in an economical pack with protective accessories.
- A 5,000 mAh battery for 3 days of autonomy
- Good performance for the price (Snapdragon 665)
- The versatile photo module equipped with 4 sensors
Instead of 249 euros usually, the Motorola G8 Power pack + protective shell + tempered glass screen is now available at only 159 euros at Fnac.

The Motorola G8 Power offers a fairly classic design in 2020 with its borderless screen pierced on the left corner. We therefore find a selfie camera housed in this punch, but this is not the best asset of this smartphone. The 6.4-inch panel is well made, it displays a Full HD + definition of 2300 x 1080 pixels and offers good viewing angles.
Its main asset is undoubtedly its large 5,000 mAh battery. The latter gives it an autonomy of three days according to the manufacturer. This figure may vary depending on your daily use, but it’s a nice feat for a smartphone in this category. This is in part due to the low power consumption of the Android Stock operating system used by the brand.
The G8 Power, however, is not the most powerful in its class, especially when compared to a Realme 6 or a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 for example. However, its Snapdragon 665 supported by 4 GB of RAM allows it to offer a smooth user experience in all circumstances, and it is already that. You will be able to play some 2D games, but really forget about resource-intensive games.
On the photo side, this time it has nothing to be ashamed of against competition from its segment with a rather versatile photo module. It has four sensors: a 16-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, an 8-megapixel x2 telephoto lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Daylight photos are fine, but don’t expect to be able to take great nighttime shots with an entry-level camera.
