Yesterday, Tuesday, December 2, NVIDIA introduced a new member to the RTX 30 family: this is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. This new card is available at a price of € 419, € 100 cheaper than its sister RTX 3070 and up to € 300 cheaper than the RTX 3080. But, although it has a lower price, it still incorporates an 8GB GDDR6 VRAM.
This card shares features with its bigger siblings, the 3070 and 3080. It offers solid performance at 1080p and 1440p, and allows you to enjoy 2K60 games with ray tracing.
Like the rest of the graphics in this series, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 has a GPU developed by Samsung that uses 8nm photolithography. Still, NVIDIA has developed improvements and refined features on the card to make it more personal.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060: Technical Specifications
Not only does the RTX 3060 feature the same Ampere architecture as its predecessor, the Model 3070, but both cards share the same 8GB GDDR6 VRAM memory and virtually the same specs.
However, due to its cheaper price, it is normal that it has some lower specifications than the rest of the cards in its series. Thus, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 has fewer CUDA cores and lower frequency compared to the rest of the graphics in the series.
According to reviews and reports, the RTX 3060 has a much better and faster performance than the RTX 2060 Super, these being more expensive. It’s even faster than the RTX 2080 Super, despite the fact that it is priced at € 759.
