A YouTube channel has published in advance a complete handling of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The smartphone has not been formalized, but we now know everything about its characteristics.
To celebrate its 1000 subscribers, the Tech Buff channel wanted to create a surprise on YouTube. And it is rather successful, since the chain unveiled in preview, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra with a long grip of about ten minutes. The video has since been placed privately on the platform. Difficult to understand what exactly happened, and especially how the chain managed to get the smartphone in question.
Obviously, the Internet being the Internet, the video was immediately copied and its content is still available as a mirror on different platforms. The characteristics and design of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra no longer seem to have any secrets.
The ultra leak
As its name suggests, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is intended to be Xiaomi’s very high-end consumer flagship for this year 2021, like Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra. Until today, we mainly knew the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro thanks to rumors, and it is not yet clear whether this Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is a new variation, or the official name of the Mi 11 Pro. Also remember that the Xiaomi Mi 11 has already been unveiled and should arrive in France soon.
We did not know about the Tech Buff channel before writing this article, and it is currently impossible to confirm 100% of the authenticity of the products shown. Still, the phone starts well under MIUI and the design takes well what we imagine of a Mi 11 Ultra. If it’s a fake, then it looks particularly well done. Faced with the credibility of the characteristics and images presented, we are on our side inclined to think that this is a real grip.
The ultra flagship
In his video, the young YouTube quickly presents the design of the smartphone and insists in particular on the very large photo module on the back. The latter takes almost the entire width of the smartphone, and integrates three lenses on one side, and a small screen of the order. This screen serves as a feedback screen, especially for taking selfies using the main camera.
We can read on the module that Xiaomi intends to offer a zoom x120 which was already on the Mi 10 Ultra. According to the videographer, the photo module is composed of a main sensor of 50 megapixels, with in addition a 48 megapixel sensor behind the ultra wide-angle lens, and a 48 mega-pixel sensor, behind the telephoto periscope.
At the front, the smartphone incorporates a screen of 6.8 inch OLED with WQHD + definition (Approx. 2560 x 1440 pixels), and a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. A punch shows a front camera of 20 megapixels.
The smartphone is obviously powered by the Snapdragon 888 that we already find in the classic Mi 11, we would not have imagined a less powerful chip for the Ultra model. A 5000 mAh battery should allow the smartphone to keep a good autonomy.
To complete this overview of features, we find an IP68 certification of resistance to dust and water, a fast charge at 67W in wired and wireless, by induction, as well as a reverse wireless charge. of 10W. The beta version of MIUI 12.5, installed on this smartphone, had recently revealed that two smartphones in preparation at Xiaomi would have the right to 67W wireless charging. We have one of them here.
