One month away from the official announcement, Evleaks takes stock of everything he knows about the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra. And he has a lot to say.
Several rumors indicate that Samsung will unveil its Galaxy S21 on January 14, about a month earlier than usual. The perfect opportunity for Evan “evleaks” Blass, former journalist and now specialist in the leak, to take stock of everything he can confirm about the next range of premium smartphones from the South Korean manufacturer.
Release date and code names
In turn, Evan Blass corroborates once again the date of January 14 for the conference, with pre-orders launched the next day. No need to wait long, however, to see this trio arrive in store since they should be available two weeks later, on January 29.
He took the opportunity to reveal the code name of the Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra which would be respectively internally called O1, T2 and P3. Names that are not very meaningful at first glance …
Storage, battery, SoC and colors
The famous leaker also details a little more what he knows from the technical sheet of the three smartphones which would run, at least in their American variant, with a Snapdragon 888. For the moment, Samsung has not yet unveiled the Exynos 2100 to succeed the Exynos 990 and which should in all likelihood be equipped with an AMD GPU.
But the most interesting is yet to come. Still according to Evan Blass, the Galaxy S21 would be equipped with a storage space of 256 GB as standard, with a 512 GB variant for the S21 Ultra in certain markets. Suffice to say that we should not run out of space to save our photos and videos.
Corroborating the information from Android Police, he also specifies that the three smartphones will carry a battery of 4000 mAh, 4800 mAh and 5000 mAh respectively.
Finally, he also recalls that the S21 should take a photo module close to that of the S20 with a triple sensor, one of them rising to 64 Mpx, with the exception of the Galaxy S21 Ultra which would go up to 108 Mpx. The latter model would also be equipped with the S Pen, the stylus previously reserved for the Galaxy Note.
All that remains is to wait for the officialization of Samsung which should take place on January 14.
