Amazfit took advantage of CES 2021 to unveil two new connected watches, the GTR 2e and GTS 2e, with an autonomy of up to 24 days in conventional use.
On the occasion of CES 2021 which takes place this week in a virtual edition, Amazfit unveiled new connected watches. After having declined its GTS2 in Mini version, the Chinese manufacturer unveiled this week new variants, the Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit GTS 2e.
Like the models from which they are inspired, the main difference between the two watches lies in their format. The Amazfit GTS 2e is thus a square (square) watch, while the Amazfit GTR 2e is a round (round) watch. In this, they continue the lineage of the models launched in October 2020.
Both watches also take on the elegant appearance of the base models with a particularly elegant design, with an aluminum case and thin bezels around the screen. The screen is otherwise identical to previous versions with a square display of 1.65 inches diagonal and a resolution of 341 pixels per inch for the GTS 2e, and a round screen of 1.39 inches in radius and 326 pixels per inch. inch for the GTR 2e.
Complete health monitoring
Regarding health monitoring, the two watches benefit from a BioTrackerTM 2 PPG optical sensor to measure heart rate as well as a SpO2 measurement for blood oxygenation. They are also able to monitor sleep quality, stress level, and workouts with 90 sports available.
It is truly on autonomy that Amazfit seems to have made great efforts on its new connected watches. While the GTS 2 and GTR 2 were already particularly enduring with a use of two weeks, the manufacturer communicates this time up to 45 days of use on the GTS 2e and GTR 2e.
Enough to make it among the most autonomous watches on the market, alongside hybrid models like the Withings Scanwatch. In detail, the GTR 2e is able to operate in classic mode for 24 days while the GTS 2e has a classic autonomy of 14 days before going into energy saving mode.
The new Amazfit GTS 2e and GTR 2e watches are launched today in the United States at a price of 140 euros. For the moment, Amazfit has not announced any marketing for France.
