Looks like presidential screens, a retractable camera inspired by the smartphone market and a few calibrated features to simplify the life of professionals: Dell wants to conquer the hearts of teleworkers. Ahead of CES 2021, the brand presented the C2422HE, C2722DE and C3422WE. And these three new monitors align the strengths with a 5 Mpx pop-up webcam, compatible with facial identification (via Windows Hello), a Microsoft Teams certification, buttons dedicated specifically to the Microsoft platform, speakers integrated 5 W and noise-canceling microphone.

The lethal weapons of videoconferencing?

These three monitors also have the advantage of offering these different advantages in three distinct formats. The C3422WE is a 34-inch curved screen, with a WQHD definition and able to supply a laptop with USB-C (up to 90 W). It can also be connected directly to the Ethernet network (RJ-45). His little brother, the C2722DE, is limited for its part to 27 inches in 16: 9 format, but retains a QHD definition (2560 by 1440p). The youngest of the siblings, the C2422HE is more basic: it is satisfied with a diagonal of 24 inches in Full HD, but retains the functionality of its two acolytes.

As Dell points out, the 34 and 24-inch models benefit from a height-adjustable, tilting and horizontally swiveling stand, while the 27-inch model can even swivel vertically if needed.

Announced alongside the two new laptops incorporating innovative bioplastics, these three screens will arrive on February 16 in France. The prices are, however, not yet known.

A first curved monitor with a WUHD panel

Dell also announced its U4021QW UltraSharp, a 40-inch monitor with a definition of 5120 by 2160 pixels. Expected on January 28, this is, according to the brand, the first model on the market to combine a 40-inch curved panel and WUHD definition. It includes a Thunderbolt 3 port supporting the charging of a laptop PC up to 90W, a 10 Gb / s USB connection and an Ethernet input. For now, the price of this monitor has also not yet been announced.
