As of December 1, Bouygues Telecom’s 5G network will be available in 20 major French cities. The operator gives the list.
Bouygues Telecom is launching its 5G network commercially from tomorrow, Tuesday December 1, 2020, in France. 20 large cities across the country are affected by this deployment, several months after the appearance of “5G ready” packages in the operator’s offer.

In its press release, the operator specifies that this is the list of the 20 largest cities open to its 5G network. However, you can find all the municipalities concerned on a map which will be available on the Bouygues Telecom website from December 1.
Just before, competitor SFR also unveiled the complete list of the 120 municipalities that its network will cover.
Gradual deployment
It should also be noted that in Paris, the commercial launch of 5G will await the holding of a citizens’ conference which will lead to a “mobile telephony charter»Aiming to properly regulate exposure to waves.
For its part, Bouygues Telecom reiterates its objective: to cover the whole of France with its 5G network by the end of 2021. “Other large cities will follow quickly.
