The Pixel 4a 5G is finally here! More than providing simple compatibility with the network of tomorrow, Google’s new smartphone improves its power, autonomy and even its camera to provide more versatility than the classic Pixel 4a.

The launch is scheduled for November 18, 2020 and pre-orders are already open if you want to reserve your copy now. In addition, it takes advantage of the same offer as the Pixel 5 by offering its buyers the Bose QS 35 II wireless headphones worth 249 euros.

Where to pre-order it?

The Google Pixel 4a 5G is only available with 128 GB of storage at 499 euros. You must then fill in the ODR to receive the Bose QC 35 II headphones for free.

All about the Google Pixel 4a 5G

The Google Pixel 4a 5G retains the same sobriety as the classic version of the smartphone for its design. We find the same plain polycabornate back and the same OLED screen displaying Full HD + definition and punched at the top left. However, the panel stretches this time to 6.24 inches and not 5.8, which results in a format a little less compact than the 4a.

This a little more imposing size however has advantages, starting with the battery which goes from a capacity of 3,140 mAh to 3,800 mAh for the Pixel 4a 5G. A significant gain in autonomy, but this is not the only element of the technical sheet that has just changed. This 5G compatible smartphone has a powerful Snapdragon 765G instead of the 730, which is the same SoC as the Pixel 5, all supported by 6 GB of RAM.

This is not the only similarity with his big brother. On the back of the phone, we find the same photo module equipped with two sensors: a main one of 12 megapixels (photosites of 1.4 µm, opening f / 1.7 and optical stabilization) and the other ultra wide-angle of 16 megapixels (107 degrees, photosites of 1 µm, and f / 2.2 aperture). It then keeps the promise to do just as well as the Pixel 5 in the photo, but for less, with a mode Night Sight (night vision) for night portraits or even a mode Cinematic Pan for slow motion videos with dramatic effect.

Google Pixel 4a 5G formalized: sobriety preserved and improved photo in addition to 5G

The Google Pixel 4a 5G has just been formalized. Compared to the classic model from which it is inspired, it obviously brings 5G compatibility, but also a notable addition of an ultra-wide-angle lens on the photo part.
