The event « Xiaomi Mega Launch » kept all its promises with a host of new official products. Among them, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, considered an even more advanced variation of the classic Xiaomi Mi 11. What more does he have? Does it deserve its Pro designation? Answer in this presentation.

In terms of design, the Mi 11 Pro uses the same aesthetic formula with a 6.81-inch curved screen. There is no change either in terms of display technology, definition and refresh rate: AMOLED, QHD + and 120 Hz. Difficult to do better, in short.

5000 mAh battery

In addition to the Snapdragon 888 as a processor and the stereo speakers certified by the specialist Harman Kardon, the Mi 11 Pro stands out with an IP68 certification, which gives it a total seal against water and dust. Certification that the classic Mi 11 did not benefit from.

The Mi 11 Pro also offers a better battery: 5000 mAh (against 4600 mAh). A good point, since the Mi 11 is a fair bit in terms of autonomy. In general, recharging it after a day of mixed use is necessary. Fast charging is also gaining momentum: 67 W (compared to 55 W on the Mi 11), wirelessly or wired.

But one of the most interesting improvements is in the photo. The manufacturer equipped the smartphone with Samsung’s Isocell GN2 sensor. At an extra large 1 / 1.12 inch size, this 50 megapixel sensor relies on a fusion of four pixels in one to capture more light in low light.

Optical zoom to report

According to Xiaomi, more work has been done on HDR, or dynamics management. Also, the lack of optical zoom on the classic Mi 11 has been criticized a lot. Good news: the Mi 11 Pro offers one in x5, coupled with a digital zoom x50. Finally, note a compatibility with Wi-Fi 6.

Available in white, black and green colors, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro is only reserved for the Chinese market at first. No information has been communicated regarding a launch in Europe. Below, its price list according to its configurations:

  • 8 + 128 GB: 4999 yuan, about 650 euros excluding tax
  • 8 + 256 GB: 5299 yuan, about 685 euros excluding tax
  • 12 + 256 GB: 5699 yuan, about 735 euros excluding tax

Xiaomi has also lifted the veil on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11 Lite (4G and 5G), as well as the Mi Smart Band 6 connected bracelet and the Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro video projector.
