A privileged partner of Apple for years, Belkin continues to increase the number of accessories compatible with the Apple brand products. And the MagSafe technology of the new iPhones does not cut it with the arrival of charging stations able as a bonus to charge several products at the same time.
Apple’s AirPower charging mat is still waiting, without anyone really knowing if it will see the light of day. In the meantime, the partners of the Apple brand are overflowing with imagination to offer accessories to the latest products of the firm, and in particular the iPhone 12 with their MagSafe technology.
Apple’s AirPower has a cheaper alternative
Among them, Belkin is no exception. The brand recently unveiled a 3-in-1 Boost Charge Pro charging station with MagSafe that can make AirPower forget about it. It has three slots to accommodate an Apple Watch, AirPods Pro or AirPod earphones cases compatible with Qi induction charging (2nd generation), as well as an iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro / Pro Max. Because the station offers a magnetic base for MagSafe device. But above all, it can recharge all three products simultaneously without overheating.
Just bring one of the last iPhones released in the fall and it automatically magnetizes to the base. Small advantage when you have the stand on your desk or your bedside table: you can put the iPhone in a vertical or horizontal position to enjoy your content. And MagSafe accessories associated with your iPhone such as cases are also compatible with the Belkin cradle.
Note that the flat surface is not only reserved for AirPods. You can drop any device that supports Qi charging, whether it’s another smartphone or a headphone box (we tested with Galaxy Buds and a Samsung smartphone), or even a pre-fall 2020 iPhone.
The steel charging station will be available in black or white for 149 euros in the coming weeks. Much less than the 250 dollars / euros that were whispered for the AirPower.
We were able to test this accessory. It is very qualitative with premium finishes and offers charging for the iPhone 12/12 Pro up to 15W of power. But to take full advantage of it, it is better to be fully equipped with Apple or almost. Which is not the case for everyone. So Belkin has thought of everything.
A 2-in-1 version adapted to the greatest number
On the occasion of CES 2021, the Californian company unveiled a simplified version. The Boost Charge Pro 2-in-1 charging station also has a MagSafe holder for the latest iPhones and their accessories (40 W). At the foot of the support, which is rounder than the 3-in-1 version, there is a base compatible with Qi induction charging. But here, no support for the Apple Watch.

It is initially intended to charge 2nd generation AirPods / AirPods Pro. Designed as the basis of the more complete Boost Charge Pro, it should undoubtedly allow all Qi devices to be charged as well. A good idea which should satisfy the greatest number who may have several induction products to charge and not just Apple devices.
Available in black or white, it sports a fairly similar design, robust enough to its matte chrome or black metal base so as not to tip over. The 2-in-1 charging station will be marketed in February at a price of 99.99 euros on the Belkin site and at Apple.
