Apple rolls out iOS 14.2 to enjoy over 100 new emojis

Apple has rolled out its latest update for iOS, version 14.2. Besides some additional functions and bug fixes, this version allows you to enjoy more than 100 new emojis.

This Thursday, Apple launched the rollout of the latest version of its mobile operating system, iOS 14.2. A minor update which nevertheless allows to benefit from some bug fixes and many new emojis.

This update allows iPhone users – and iPad users via iPadOS update 14.2 – to take advantage of “More than 100 new emojis” including animals, food, musical instruments or faces. These are the emojis already presented last July when Apple unveiled the new icons that would be integrated after the launch of iOS 14.

New features offered on iOS 14.2

In addition to emojis, iOS 14.2 also allows you to enjoy eight new wallpapers compatible with both the dark theme and the bright theme. Other features are also integrated such as the integration of LiDAR under the magnifying glass, new AirPlay controls or the support of the new Intercom functionality announced with the launch of the HomePod mini. In addition, the update also fixes many bugs.

While Apple’s updates are the same for iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2, they vary for its Apple Watch smartwatch system. The firm has indeed announced the update to watchOS 7.1. This update makes it possible in particular to indicate when the sound volume of a headset is too high for the user and could damage his hearing. It also allows Russian and Korean users to take advantage of the ECG function of the manufacturer’s watches.

These various updates should be available in the coming days for users of Apple smartphones, tablets and connected watches.
