Apple makes its iPhone 12 compatible with 5G

With the rollout of iOS 14.3, Apple is also launching the 5G update on its latest iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. They can now take advantage of the Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free networks.

While 5G was gradually launched in France, if you had bought one of the latest iPhone 12s to take advantage of it, you wouldn’t see the little 5G logo showing on the screen until then. And for good reason, Apple had not opened “its network” to ultra-fast connection.

It is now done. With the deployment since Monday of the iOS 14.3 update, the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are now compatible with the entire French 5G network.

5G for all operators

Because the iOS 14.3 update, with its many additions, including the famous Apple ProRAW format, includes an operator update 45.1 which concerns all players (Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and now Free).

To enjoy 5G on your iPhone 12, you must therefore have an up-to-date device or go to Settings / General / Software update. If the operator update is not done automatically, go to the Settings Information section to trigger it.
