If you have had problems with iPhone 11 not responding to touch controls, you may have the right to have its screen changed for free by Apple. The firm is launching a module replacement program.
If you’ve had some trouble with your iPhone 11 showing up less responsive, you’re not alone. Many users have experienced setbacks in recent months, swelling the rumors on social networks, to the point that Apple has ended up taking the problem seriously.
“A limited number of iPhone 11” affected according to Apple
The problems noted concern the screen of the iPhone which no longer responds to touch controls. Apple has therefore launched a screen module replacement program on its support site.
Even if the problem affects only a “limited number of iPhone 11”, as Apple writes, affected users will be able to have their device repaired for free. However, only iPhone 11 manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 are concerned. The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are not eligible for the replacement program.
What if you are concerned?
First you need to check if your iPhone 11 is supported. To do this, go to page support d’Apple and enter your serial number.
If Apple indicates that your iPhone 11 is eligible for a screen replacement, then you have several choices to have the device repaired: make an appointment at an Apple Store, at an Apple Authorized Service Center, or arrange a mailing to the Apple repair center after contacting support.
Apple specifies that “if the iPhone 11 has damage that compromises the repair, such as a cracked screen, these will need to be addressed first ”. It’s up to you to do it or it will be billed to you by Apple’s after-sales service.
In addition, if you have already had your iPhone 11 repaired for this type of screen problem, it is possible to be reimbursed by Apple upon presentation of the invoice.
