The brand’s ultraportable card, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 is once again a very powerful and well thought out machine. A laptop PC that no longer has any real flaws, since its price is now on promotion.
While at the end of last year, Lenovo relied on an AMD solution to propel its Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 ultrabook, the manufacturer is further refreshing its range by offering this time a version with an 11th generation Intel Core. If the design and connectivity remain the same, autonomy and performance are improving. This allows the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 to remain one of the benchmarks of 2021 in terms of a powerful machine.
Especially since its price is revised downwards until March 28 at Fnac. Indeed, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 enjoys a 15% discount, which brings down its price at 1,274 euros against 1,499 euros usually.
A perfectly balanced ultrabook
Unlike most of its competitors, the design of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 does not suffer from any flaws. Don’t be fooled by the feeling of being in front of a “massive” product, as we could see during our test (9/10), its dimensions of 32 x 20 x 1.5 cm, as well that its weight of 1.4 kg makes it just as pleasant to carry as it is to use daily.
Its keyboard is large enough to make typing enjoyable, regardless of the size of the hands, just like its trackpad. What’s more, the backlighting of the keys allows use even when the light environment begins to fail.
In terms of the screen, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 draws a 14-inch touchscreen IPS panel with Full HD definition. In addition to improving ergonomics, this screen is well calibrated, with a well-covered sRGB spectrum and controlled brightness. Whether it’s just for work, or for entertainment while streaming content, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 offers welcome viewing comfort.
Improved performance with an 11th generation Intel Core
The main changes with the previous version occur inside the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7. Indeed, the manufacturer swaps the AMD Ryzen chips for an 11th generation Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor.
Clocked at 2.80 GHz (4.70 GHz in Turbo Boost), this chip ensures constant fluidity, both in basic tasks, such as navigation, as in more demanding software such as image editing or editing video. Not to mention that the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 also relies on a 1TB SSD and 16 GB of RAM, so as not to suffer from any slowdown.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 is not left out in terms of connectivity. It offers 2 USB-A ports, 2 USB Type-C connectors and an HDMI 2.0 socket. A configuration that allows you to add an external screen, for example, to the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 in order to work more efficiently. Finally, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 cannot be faulted on its autonomy, as it is massive. It is thus able to keep up with 14 hours in a row, before calling for the charger. Enough to lighten your backpack when you are away on business for the day.
A softened price until the end of March
We can blame the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 for a bit high price. A black spot that has just disappeared at Fnac since the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 now benefits, and until March 28, from a reduction of 15%.
Normally sold for around 1,500 euros, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 now displays a price of 1,274 euros. Standard delivery is free, and does not exceed 3 days.
