Amazfit has unveiled a “Mini” version of its GTS 2 connected watch with a more compact size and a slightly different design.
After its GTS 2 and GTR 2, Amazfit announced on Tuesday the release of a new connected watch for its range of designer smartwatches, the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini. As its name suggests, this new connected watch takes the large shapes of the GTS 2, but in a more compact format.
This Amazfit GTS 2 Mini thus offers measurements of 40.5 x 35.8 x 8.95 mm for a weight of 19.5 grams, against 42.8 x 35.6 x 9.7 mm and 24.7 grams for the classic Amazfit GTS 2. It is also equipped with a smaller screen of 1.55 inches, against 1.65 inches for the classic model. However, we will find a definition of 354 x 306 pixels as well as a square Amoled panel.
Comprehensive functionalities for health analysis
As for other characteristics, the watch is equipped with a 220 mAh battery to allow it to be used for 14 consecutive days as well as recharging in about two hours. The watch also incorporates all the measurements already offered by the Amazfit GTS 2 with a heart rate monitor for measuring heart rate, measuring SpO2 and a GPS for geolocation.
It differs above all from its big sister by its design. It must be said that unlike the GTS 2, the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini offers an aluminum case with a rather visible metal. The button remains present to interact in the watch menus or return to the home screen. Three colors are also available: black, mint green and pale pink.
Amazfit’s GTS 2 Mini watch will be sold at a price of 169.99 euros, the same price as the classic version. For the launch, the Chinese manufacturer has not yet communicated a precise date, but indicates that more information will be given during the virtual CES which will take place in the first days of 2021.
